This Rose-breasted Grosbeak visits me daily at our birdfeeder and I very often visit him through my camera. This Rose-breasted Grosbeak bird is one of my favorites because he enables me to enjoy his strikingly impressive colors closely through my window. I’ve connected him in this artwork with a stunning forest full of dogwood trees in bloom that I drove through in the Spring of 2015. That’s when I first moved from the dry desert of Phoenix to the breathtaking forests full of deciduous trees in Michigan. Every Spring I take long drives through the woods in love with all the greenery and blossoms that my heart had missed for over 30 years.
My art continues to tell personal stories.
