Mixed Media: Hand painted threads stitched over cotton gauze. Composition is then stitched on to hand made paper and floated on a stretched and painted artist’s canvas.

Ra was the god of the sun, the bringer of light, and patron to the pharaohs. According to legend, the sun travels the skies as Ra drives his chariot through the heavens. Although he originally was associated only with the midday sun, as time went by, Ra became connected to the sun’s presence all day long.

I’d like to think that Ra would be very comfortable here in the Valley of the Sun as he drive his chariot through the skies  and leaves a trail of sun rays behind him.
