Mixed media: fiber stitched to painted stretched canvas

In this experimental piece I wanted to feel the rolling hills of the area I love so much in Pennsylvania. I formed the canvas in ripples and then stitches the piece so that the stitches fellin the hills and valleys in a more natural way.

There is nothing more beautiful than Bucks County in the Fall and as I worked this piece my thoughts took me back to its rolling hills and brilliant oak tree leaves. Hand painted on shaped needlepoint canvas mounted on hand made oiled lokta paper from Nepal.
